Dedicated Team

We raised a whopping £700 for Promise Dreams Charity which raise money for children who are seriously or terminally ill and provide treatment, help and support for both them and their families. It was a great day starting at Himley Hall, Free Radio did a great job warming up the crowd and the walkers. There were a few local celebs there providing encouragement and posing for photos. Of course, we were there with our cameras at the ready not wanting to miss a photo opportunity with any celebrity.

Local football Stars and local Comedian & Quiz show presenter were amongst the 4000+ crowd that turned up today, some in fancy dress, some bought their dogs and others bought the whole family, children included. There were a fantastic community spirit and one we were proud to be apart of.  We walked the 10 miles to Dunstall Racecourse and crossed the finishing line in 3 1/2 hours.

Finish Line

We may have a few blisters and sore limbs but knowing that the money we raised will help to make a difference for terminally ill children and their families is worth every single step we walked today. Thank you to all the people who sponsored us.
